Julie has been passionate about music since she was a little girl! Her earliest memories of feeling deeply connected to people through music are from her Girl Scout days when everyone sat around the campfire singing songs!

Julie sang in the Oldies Band “Moose and Da Sharks” for 20 years and the Misty Blues Party Band for 10 years. She currently sings in a big band (Craig Strain Orchestra), a Christmas caroling trio (Velvet Carolers), an oldies trio (The Sharkettes), and a jazz trio (Birdland Babes). Julie is a soloist at various Unity churches, sings solo jazz at several venues in the Detroit Metro area and is a sub vocalist in several bands.

Julie has been an Early Childhood Educator for 25 years. She loves using music to inspire her young little learners!
